It has been told that the commander who takes this valley once and for all is to receive commendations of the highest order. The river that runs through this community ws once a place where children and adults alike would fish or wet their feet on a hot summer day, but now it is nothing more than a natural barrier that has led to stalemate after stalemate between the Allied and Axis forces stationed in the area. Nestled in the large valley, a small rural community has been torn by war. So, we have obviously gotten the hang of this map VERY well, so I hope I can help all of you out with this guide I've played this map maybe 70-80 times with WNxKinote(Fav 2v2 d00d) We played it as campers, or as rushers, both sides, random posies, fixed posies, high resources, norm resources, every single way you can possibly think of, even with every combo of doctrine/commander tree and yes, even using only infantry, or mainly tanks, etc. Just like any other map, when you play it a bit, and get used to it, you start to learn about the map more than you thought you could have before you played it and thought it was "Teh campz0rs". Most people don't like Vire because they simply don't know how to play it, or what to do when they DO play it, be it the camping war part, or the rushing part. Is actually a fairly fun map, it CAN be a camping war, which, in a game of equal skilled players, axis will win almost every time, simply from the veterancy benefit, and walking stukkas, and the repair bunkers if the Allies try to push vs Tigers and Panthers. Vire River Valley, AKA VRV, AKA The nub map AKA Stalemate Central AKA Zomg me hatez vir! Red dot with two lines: AT gun and firing arc White line: Used to show areas of good cover, and good places to place volks/rifles/engies Green blocks: Tank traps(Only used once )
